Spiritual Warfare Requires Vigilance

We are in a spiritual war. Some call it a cultural war, but everything is spiritual. This war is a battle for the hearts and minds of our children.

I don’t fully understand the times as the Old Testament Men of Issachar did, but I am a student of the culture, I read, I listen, I’m watchful of people’s words and actions. I can see the signs of the times and can observe the moral decline of our nation.

It seems the culture is influencing the church more than the church is influencing the culture.

Evil won’t stop on its own, you can’t reason with evil…. If Christians are not watchful and stand for truth and say no to this evil, we will lose.

Much like the duties of the WWII Minesweeper the USS Vigilance we must...

1. Locate and remove danger…Proverbs 22:3

2. Shield your family from danger…Eph. 6:16

3. Guard the entrance to the home…Ezek. 33:3

4. Watch and listen for danger…1. Peter 5:8

5. Put our fires…1. Tim.3:4-5

6. Rescue and care for the injured and dying…Colossians 1:13

Men of God must remember there is...

No winning without warfare

No opportunity without opposition

No victory without vigilance

If we are to win the spiritual battles we face we must be watchful and follow God’s battle plan which includes Prayer, Preparation and purpose.
